Our Mission

Nbbang.org exists for one simple reason: to make splitting bills fair and easy for everyone. Whether you are dining out with friends, sharing rent with roommates, or splitting travel expenses with a group, our free calculator takes the awkwardness and guesswork out of dividing costs.

We believe that money should never get in the way of good friendships. A fair, transparent split keeps everyone happy and makes shared experiences more enjoyable.

What Is N-Bang (N빵)?

The name "N-Bang" comes from the Korean term N빵 (pronounced "en-bbang"). In Korean culture, "빵" is a playful slang derived from the word for "bread" but used colloquially to mean "split" or "divide." When Koreans say "N빵하자" (let's do N-Bang), they mean "let's split the bill equally among N people."

For example, if four friends go to dinner and the total bill is 100,000 won, doing "4빵" means each person pays 25,000 won. It is one of the most common phrases you will hear at restaurants, cafes, and bars across South Korea.

We named our site after this concept because it perfectly captures the spirit of what we do: take any bill, divide by the number of people, and make it fair. But we go beyond the simple equal split. Our calculator supports percentage-based and itemized splitting too, so every group can find the method that works best for them.

What We Offer

Equal Split Calculator

The classic N-Bang method. Enter the total bill and the number of people, and get each person's share instantly. Perfect for casual dinners and shared appetizers where everyone ordered roughly the same amount.

Percentage Split Calculator

Assign custom percentages to each person in the group. This method works well when one person is covering a larger share, when splitting by income ratio, or for business dinners where contributions are negotiated in advance.

Itemized Split Calculator

The fairest option for mixed-order situations. Assign specific items to each person and split shared items evenly. Great for restaurant bills where orders vary significantly in price.

Blog and Guides

Beyond the calculator, we publish practical guides on bill splitting etiquette, payment app reviews, cultural perspectives on expense sharing, and tips for handling common money situations with friends and roommates.

Why Nbbang.org?

Did you know? The concept of N빵 is so embedded in Korean culture that most Korean payment apps like KakaoPay and Toss have built-in N-Bang splitting features. Our calculator brings that same convenience to everyone, regardless of which country or payment app you use.

Our Values

Fairness first. We built this tool because we have all been in that awkward moment when the check arrives and nobody knows what to do. Our goal is to remove friction from shared expenses so you can focus on enjoying time with the people you care about.

Simplicity always. We keep things clean and straightforward. No unnecessary features, no bloated interface, no mandatory sign-ups. Enter your numbers, get your answer, move on with your evening.

Transparency matters. Our calculator shows exactly how every amount is calculated. No hidden rounding, no mystery math. You can see and verify every number before settling up.
